PRELUDE

Osteoarthritis (OA),Also Erroneously called degenerative Joint disease,represent failure of diarthodial (Movable,Synovial-Lined) Joint.OA is the most Common joint disease of humans.it prevalence is estimated to be 2-3% Worldwide Among the elderly knee O.A.is the leading cause of chronic disability in developed countries.

A Survey of precipitating or modulating factors associated with occurrence of osteoarthritis carried out at govt.Ayurved hospital,Anklav.Among 114 female Patient 43 Patient (37%) having reported hysterectomy is the first most frequently factor.we that within 5 to 10 Years after hysterectomy rise to develop OA in woman.

SAMPRAPTI : (PATHOLOGY)

The Series of Pathological Changes taking place during Production of a diseas from Nidan seven to roga utpti is known as samprapti.for proper Understanding of the result it is necessary to understanding the samprapti.

No Specific samprapti has explained for sandhigata vata (OA) It can be Said that samprapti of sandhigate vata is same as that of general samprapti of vatavyadhi.Charaka described that by following aetiological factor of vatavyadhis,Bali vayu gets aggravated and that Vayu fills up the emptied channels of body and produce various generalized or localized disease.

Because of Hysterectomy (Marmagata) Vayu get aggravated and fills up the emptied channels of Musculoskeletal system which leads to khavaigune in Sandhi and rise to disease Sandhi gata Vata (OA).

ESTROGEN DEFICIENCY

Not Only the incidence of O.A. Grater in order women than in order men,both hip and knee OA seen to occur at an accelerated rate in human after the age of 50, i.e.roughly the time of menopause,Furthermore,Some women develop rapidly progressive OA at this time of life.This relationship is suggested that postmenopausal estrogen deficiently increase the risk of OA now we can understand that post hysterectomical estrogen deficiency leads greater risk of OA.

CONCLUSSION-

From the above study we can conclude that Hysterectomy is modulating factor for creating osteoarthritis in women,

WHAT IS AVASCULAR NECROSIS

Avascular necrosis (also referred to as aseptic necrosis or osteonecrosis) is a disease that results from poor blood supply to an area of bone causing bone death.

This is condition because the dead areas of bone do not function normally, are weakened and collapse. Common site-Neck of femur.

Pain associated with avascular necrosis is often severe and unrelenting.

What causes

(1) Avascular necrosis can be caused by trauma and damage to the blood vessels and that supply bone its oxygen.

(2) Poor blood circulation to the bone include an embolism of air or fat that blocks flow through the blood vessels, abnormally thick blood and vacuities.

What conditions are associated with AV

(1) Alcoholism

(2) Steroid usage

(3) SLE-systemic lupus eythematosus

(4) Gaucher’s disease

વાતરક્ત અંતર્ગત સમાવેશ થાય તેવા અન્ય વ્યાધિઓ જેવા કે Gout,Raynaud’s disease,SLE(systemic lupus erythomatus),vasculitis ઉપરાંત Avascular Necrosis નો પણ વાતરક્ત માં સમાવેશ કરી શકાય.

6. અસ્થિ-સન્ધિ-મજ્જામાં છેદાતુ હોય તેવી વેદના
